Improving hydrodynamic operating conditions and reducing hydraulic resistance in sucker-rod pumps by use of high-molecular weight compounds (HMC)

Purpose:

To increase productivity of oil-wells equipped with sucker-rod pumping units (SRPU) when recovering watered oil. 

Content:

Injecting water solution of high molecular weight compound (HMC) into the annular space of the running well improves hydrodynamic operating conditions and reduces hydraulic resistance in SRPU. 

Range of application:

SRPU-equipped wells with watered output. 

Advantages:

  • fluid leakages in pump element and threaded connections of the tubing string diminish significantly;
  • improvement of hydrodynamic characteristics of the lift due to reduced hydraulic resistance factor;
  • increasing of the well overhaul period. 

Efficiency:

Technology’s application in the Ukrainian and Chinese oil fields has proved its high efficiency (over 80%). The effect duration is 20-60 days. 

 

 

.Operation results on oil fields in Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Poland, Russia, Syria, Turkmenistan and Ukraine have shown that after the Company’s technologies application the oil production increases from 2 to 5 times and even more. After well workover the duration of well’s operation at increased level of yield is from 6 months to 2 years.
