Bir Abdallah Exploration Permit – Project Overview.
The Bir Abdallah Exploration Permit is located in southern Tunisia within Tataouine Province and forms part of the prolific Ghadames oil and gas basin. Covering a total area of 2,116 km², the Permit lies in proximity to several established hydrocarbon fields, including El Borma, Jebel Grouz, Sanrhar, Laarich, Oued Zar, Adam, Chourouq, and Makhrouga.
The Permit area is intersected by major regional oil and gas pipeline infrastructure, providing strategic connectivity. The export terminals of Gabès and La Skhira, located on the Mediterranean coast, are situated approximately 200–250 km from the Bir Abdallah Permit Area.
YNG Exploration Limited is the designated Operator of the Bir Abdallah Exploration Permit under a Convention with the Republic of Tunisia, and ETAP (Entreprise Tunisienne d’Activités Pétrolières), the national oil company.
Work Program
The approved exploration program for the Bir Abdallah Permit includes:
- Geological and geophysical studies.
- Reprocessing and interpretation of available seismic data.
- Drilling of one (1) exploration well.
